Privacy notice
This notice explains how Learning No Problem uses personal information when you contact us, book a lesson, use an optional account or access resources.
Who is responsible
Learning No Problem is responsible for the personal information described in this notice. Our correspondence address is 18 Mount Avenue, Bootle, L20 6DT. For privacy questions, email philcornall100@gmail.com or call 07725363983.
Information we use
For an enquiry, we use the name, email address, child’s year group and message you provide. For a guest booking, we use the parent or carer’s name and email, the child’s name and year group, and booking/payment status. Optional account and student records can also be used where a family chooses to create or use an account.
We maintain operational records needed to run lessons, including published lesson details, session attendance/booking information, tutor-entered resources, closure/cancellation information and correspondence about a booking. Please do not include health, medical or other sensitive information in a general enquiry unless we have asked for it and you are comfortable doing so.
Why we use it
We use information to answer enquiries, provide and manage booked lessons, confirm payment, send transactional booking and lesson-reminder emails, share private joining information for confirmed sessions, handle cancellations/refunds, protect the website and meet our legal and financial record-keeping duties.
Our usual bases for using information are taking steps requested before a contract, performing the booking contract, complying with legal obligations and our legitimate interests in running a safe, reliable tuition service. We do not use the website to send a marketing mailing list.
Service providers
Stripe processes card payments. Learning No Problem does not receive or store card-number details. Resend is used for transactional booking confirmations and lesson reminders. Zoom is used for online lesson access where a genuine tutor meeting link is configured. Website hosting, database and storage providers also process information only as needed to operate the service.
Some providers may process data outside the UK. Where this applies, we rely on the provider’s applicable contractual and transfer safeguards. Their own privacy information may also apply to their services.
How long we keep it
We retain enquiries for 12 months. We retain booking and financial records for six years after the relevant financial year. We retain inactive optional parent accounts for 24 months, unless the information is still needed for an active booking, legal obligation or dispute.
We securely delete or anonymise information when it is no longer needed, subject to the limited exceptions above.
Your choices and rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask for access to, correction of, deletion of or restriction of your information, or object to certain processing. You can also ask for a portable copy where applicable. Contact us using the details above and we may need to verify your identity before acting.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled personal information, please contact us first. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. We do not make solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects about families.
